Note The Consulate General of Brazil in Washington only processes visa applications submitted by fast visa agency for applicants who only reside inside our consular jurisdiction (Washington-DC, Maryland, Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia).

Tourist visa in Washington DC

Requirements

1) One visa application form per applicant, properly and completely filled out both pages and signed. Please click here to download the visa form

2) Valid and signed United state Passport with at least 6 months from the date of entry in Brazil

3) One recent 2" x 2" passport-type photo Homemade Digital Photographs are not acceptable.

4) Copy of your travel itinerary or airline ticket

5) Driver's license. You must provide one clear copy of your driver license showing the applicants name and current address.

6) Yellow Fever Vaccination
Applicants who have traveled within 90 days prior to the trip are required to present a good copy of valid International Yellow Fever vaccination certificate

7) For Minors under 18 years

For VISA applicants under 18 years of age, both parents must sign the visa application form and have their signatures notarized. Click here for Minor Authorization Form

In addition to the items mentioned above, the following documents should also be brought or sent to the Consulate:

Birth Certificate. A NOTARIZED copy of the applicant's birth certificate.

Letter of Consent. A NOTARIZED letter of consent signed by both parents, authorizing the Consulate to issue a visa to the child.

- Polio Vaccination. For children under 7 years of age, a copy of International certificate of vaccination against POLIO is required

Note

1- Every applicant must complete Item 21 of the visa application form, "Comments" (Purpose of Trip).

2- Passport must have a minimum of two (2) complete blank visa pages to stamp the visa , remember the last three (3) pages are not visa pages and it will not be accepted

3-Each visa application form must be duly signed by the applicant (and parents must sign the application forms for those under 18 years of age), and must be submitted together with the following documentation

For Tourist visas are normally issued on 4 business days of receipt of the visa application and appropriate paperwork.
For all applications submitted by mail, processing time will be 15 business days.

7) 7) Business Letter & Official Invitation
An original letter from the company given to the applicant who is applying for visa
This letter must offer :
1- Introduce the applicant,( employment status/position held in the company)

2- the purpose of visit to Brazil.

3- Nature of business of the U.S. Company.
4-Name, address and Nature of business of the Brazilian company to be contacted in brazil
5-Name(s) of person (s) to be contacted in Brazil, phone number and his/her/their functions with the Brazilian company.
6-Duration of stay of in Brazil.

7-The business letter must include the statement that "no technical work or assistance" will be provided during stay in Brazil.

8-Guarantee of sufficient funds for travel.

Official Invitation A letter of invitation from sponsor (either host company or individual) explaining the relationship to the applicant, the purpose of travel and indicating the length of stay, place of stay, and contact information this letter must be notarized in Brazil.
